What a useful assessment should establish
Verify the exact construction and manufacturer terminology. Stone plastic composite commonly describes a mineral-filled polymer core. Core type alone does not establish scratch resistance, comfort, or installation suitability.
What the work could involve
A lower-level plan starts with moisture evaluation and a flat, sound substrate. Specify any required vapor control, approved underlayment, expansion details, and product-specific temperature limits.
A waterproof core is not a waterproof room. Leaks, moisture beneath flooring, and flooding still need attention. A rigid plank does not eliminate subfloor flatness requirements.
